October 20th -- HalloWeekends on Saturday

I plan on going to CP on October 20th for Halloweekends which is on a Saturday....hours Noon-Midnight. I'm staying open to close and I was just wondering if the lines and crowds are big that day, considering it is a weekend yet it's so close to the end of the season. What do you predict the crowds to be like? Thanks!  :-)

We have gone to Halloweekends the last Saturday of the season, and found it fairly crowded. The attractions were fun, but the lines were longer than on most summer days. Be prepared for REALLY long food lines. They don't have enough help, many concessions aren't open, and then there are limited choices when you finally get to the window. This year we'll be packing a cooler, and bringing a backpack full of snacks. Don't forget your sweatshirt, it gets chilly after dark. ENJOY!
Thanks! I did check on one website and  it said the day I am going will have a medium crowd, (hopefully). I plan on hitting all the coasters I like, plus all the haunted houses.

(Hopefully this year I won't chicken-out again for Toxic Tunnel of Terror!) What's it like in there anyway? Zombies? :-O

Don't just bring a sweater. Last year on the Saturday I went it was unseasonably cold like in the lower 40's. I wasn't sure if they'd keep the rides open when it was that chilly, but of course they did, and the lines were the shortest I'd ever seen them. 15 minutes for MF!!! But they were saying the windchill while riding MF was in the 30's. So it can get incredibly cold up there in October. I had on two layers of pants, shirts and a coat, hat and gloves and I felt just fine. Any less and it would have been a freezing hell.

Damn! I remember when I went on June 6 and it was a bit rainy in the afternoon...got very cold! I remember on the Magnum while it was raining....the rain hurt like knifes and cold as heck!! Ther I had to walk around the park the rest of the day in a hot wet sweater.  :-(

Still had fun though when the rain stopped and it got warmer out.

Being that they've never been open that late in October before it's kind of hard to say.

One thing I know for sure is that I've went to CP on the final Sat. of the season since Halloweekends was born and it's been PACKED every year!

I was super before Superstew was cool!

That sucks, I have no choice but to go the final Saturday  or not go at all and I hope it's not that busy!
They had 40,000+ people on one of the Halloweekend Saturdays last year...try going on a Sunday instead.
That was the infamous 14th of October.. Honestly.. I think it was a fluke.. it was weird.. very warm nice day...

A barrel of fun...
MF total - 442 laps
VertiGo Launches - 75
June 11th, 2001 - Gemini 100

Nah....I'd rather go on a Saturday since the hours are bigger. Hopefully it will be cold that day for less people!

I'm also going on the 20th. I'll bet you we own the place. Just a hunch.
