Oct. 31, 2004 ~ Closing Day

I have not noticed anyone else mention this, but how many of you noticed this year will be the very first time that Cedar Point will be in operation on Halloween Day! I wonder if they have anything extra planned for just that day that they would not normally do for the rest of Halloweekends??

Final 2003 counts:
Millennium Force Laps: 9
Magnum Laps: 9
Raptor Laps: 7
Trips to CP: 10

Probably just another day at Cedar Point, but the only difference is it's closeing day.

Are you sure this is the first time Cedar Point has been open on Halloween? I guess maybe it could be. . .but I thought it had been before!

"Hmm. . .we don't have anything like that. . .but I can give you this comment card."

Yes, it was mentioned before when they first posted the 2004 calendar...and it will be the first time CP has been open to the public that late in the year.

While they're at it, why not push for Thanksgiving?

I'm all for that! I think staffing issues would keep that from happening.

Although I enjoy the off season time as it builds up the anticipation of next season, keeping it from getting old.

Technically, they have been open till the very last sunday in October for the past few years, so they are open just as late in the year as with the past few years...

I think Mother Nature may have some influence as well.

Now Castaway Bay may be a different story...

Yes Browntggrr, I wasn't even thinking about the weather. I'm sure the park looks beautiful under a light snowfall, but when the blowing snow comes across the lake, brrrrrrrrrr, I am getting cold just thinking about it.

I think Castaway Bay will be a big success and give us some taste of CP in the off season.
