Oceana Cam

Looks like they moved the WT construction cam, so that we could see the whole oceana midway. It looks to be on top of JR's. And it's actually a good picture! But I guess we shouldn't have got our hopes up about the 'Area 51 Cam'. Check it out http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/inside_park/webcam/demondrop.cfm

I think that's a great location - maybe the best view they've had. The only thing I would do is tip the camera down about another 10 or 15 degrees - but that might not be possible.

Yeah, I just noticed the new location, and was about to post something about it. It looks great. I only wish that theis would have been the angle they would have used all throughout the construction so we would have had a better concept of what was happening.

That's a great angle! Now they need to bring back the Raptor Midway Cam.

Is it just me? Or do I see a very big and colorfull semi-truck parked in front of WT? any idea what it's for ? Or are my eyes playing tricks on me ?

That is definitely a truck

The truck is there for a US Army traveling exhibit with a flight simulator. Here is a link to a story about it.

Yes, I like the new cam view, but the Beach Cam has to go! Move that one back to Demon Drop to give us that Raptor Midway view. That one was cool.

Reading way to much into this folks...The camera is located right in the seating area of the stadium, and I beleve the dive show opens this upcoming weekend! Leave Area 51 alone for a while...

I will go on record as saying that I really like the new location for the cam. I emailed the people that had the streaming Raptor cam last year and asked if they planned to have it again this year, they replied saying that they were waiting on word back from CP whether or not it was a go. I do miss checking in on the streaming camera but now that CP had repositioned the WT cam, I'm pacified for now. :)

What I liked about its position at Oceana was I could see how long the line was for WT, because often I go right after work so it tells me a little about the crowd that is there. :-)

I liked that streaming cam too. I also liked looking back at their archives they had for the day so you could have an image of Raptor at sunrise for example.

Plus, I don't want to see the beach-nothing goes on there! I'd like to see the Raptor midway cam back

I like how it's named "Twister Cam"... brings back some great memories of the longest thread ever...

This is a good angle for checking out crowds, much like the old Demon Drop Cam. I still think it would be cool though if they either changed the angle of the PT cam to see the MF plaza, or add a new cam there.
