Ocean Motion Finally Open!!!

according to Cedar Points Facebook Ocean Motion has opened to guests.

That's good news. I'm not sure it deserves 3 exclamation points, but still good news.

I can't wait to ride the new, even more, "Danger Boat". :D

I'm looking forward to riding Ocean Motion as well. Especially since it's setting sail in a new location. When it was back in the corner, I didn't care too much for it, but now since it's moving up to the front, it's going to get more attention.

Now if only they could make it swing a bit higher...

A friend who was at the park yesterday (closest I got to a coaster this weekend was being a winning bidder on a 4 pack of tickets to Waldameer from the WVIZ auction, but I digress...) text me stating that OM's line was 3 cycle wait!

I wonder and hope it continues with increased ridership. My 4 1/2 year old was not happy it was not ready opening weekend. I am sure I'll be riding OM MANY times CoasterMania weekend. Than again OM may rock me to sleep given the scheduled ERT!

Good to hear. I am looking forward to riding it. Hopefully I can go this Saturday.

Frankly I don't really care about OM, and I never did. I am glad other people do, though

does Ocean Motion have water affects, fog, and music or is it just swinging away :)

I don't care too much for this kind of ride, but I am glad it's finally getting the attention it deserves. I've always thought it was in a very poor location and no one ever rode it because of that sole reason. Now, it can get all the riders!

So does that mean that windseeker is going to have poor ridership due to it's location?

Compared to other areas of the park? Yes. The former Oceana midway has never achieved the kind of attention other areas of the park get. I don't think it will until they get rid of the aquatic stadium someday.

Yea, but Ocean Motion couldn't be seen from almost anywhere in the park. ;)

Thusly, it's quite hard to miss a 300' structure and NOT resist meandering your way towards it. If there's one way to bring attention to an area, it's to build a VERY noticeable structure in it (minus Maverick).

I rode Ocean Motion today and it seemed like it went just a little bit higher then it ever did. Maybe its just me. There is just little water fountain's nothing big though. No mist or anything.
