if the bordwalk project goes this year, what will happen to these flat rides?i really like them both,i hope cedarpoint doesent get rid of these.they are lacking flat rides to begin with.
I hear you! These are classic flat rides that continue to give thrills and to get rid of them would be a disaster.

I am sure they will mvoe them somewhere else or fit them in w/ the "boardwalk" some how.

"Your obssesed w/ that place aren't you?"
I agree, they would fit well right in with the boardwalk project. They wouldn't even have to be moved, depending on how much construction/destruction will be going on in that vicinity -- they would still get more attention.

I hope they leave Ocean Motion where it is. The landscaping around it is beautiful. Scwa(???) is a great ride, but needs a new location for more exposure. Everytime I pass it, there's about two or three people on it.
When are they going to announce the plans already?!!!! Just think, last year at this time we already had a month to absorb MF. C'mon Jeff, we need some more clues.
Back a few years ago there was talk about moving the Schwabinchen next to Troika, across from the Corkscrew station. As I remember, there was even markings on the ground indicating the new spot.
As far as plans for 2001, there really isn't anything to announce. The new RV area in the boneyard is the big news for next year. I've heard there might be some redesign of a section of midway games. But minor improvements like that happen every off-season without announcement.

Something fairly big has to happen. Jeff has already stated that Oceana and the Old Aquarium building are gone after this season. That's a bigger spot of land than you think. I doubt they are just going to put a hot dog stand and a couple of games there. Heck, even a new flat ride would look a little plain. My vote is still a Wild Mouse...DorneyPark and ValleyFair have one.
The railroad tracks were moved in 1999, too. But nothing happened there until 2000. They also did the 2-year construction thing on the marina and the Breakers. Who says they can't remove those items this off-season in preparation for something that may happen in 2001?

Correction to Gemini message:
The construction for the MF started in 1999 shortly after the tracks were moved. His point is stated deceptively and gives the impression that the construction wasn't started until one year after the tracks were moved. Gemini, did you forget that construction on the MF started during the 1999 season?
While I didn't use the best wording, my point is the same. The tracks were moved to prepare the site for something that was coming down the road. A new project doesn't have to begin immediately after prep work.
My opinion is after the park had problems getting Breakers East open in 1995 (construction was still being done in June), they decided to take their time on some projects. The Breakers Tower project was done in two years. They built part of it and then let it set for a season. I think they realized that it was too much work for one year.

Isn't the site that would be beside Corkscrew, Chaos? It's not right beside it, but it's pretty close.
No - the other side. Between the nacho stand and Troika.
