Occasionally, the train will not clean the top

Lol, that was funny!

My suspicion is that if the ride rolls back unexpectedly, probably because it didn't achieve the needed speed (and let me tell you...118 MPH on the radar rolled back; 120 MPH went over yesterday) they'll shut the ride down and investigate, unload, reset, reload, and restart. But yesterday it was rolling back because of high wind. The launch would go 122 MPH and the train wouldn't clear the top. When that happened it was clear there was nothing wrong with the ride, it was just the wind. So they reset the train and tried again with almost no delay.

I'm sure that if it rolls back because of the wind, they'd probaby figure it out and launch it faster. Just my 2 cents. :)

If they launched too much faster that would make the G's on the shift to vertical too high. Their solution yesterday was to wait until the wind was within tolerances before they launched.

I think I heard somewhere that they had launched it at 127 yesterday or the day before. If it can go this fast and not produce high G's on lift then I'm sure that they can do this.

Also, not to mention that I'm sure everything we down here are panicking about they've all got covered up there. :)

I am beginning to think that they didn't plan this coaster out very good. i rode it on 5/10 and it was the greatest coaster ever! but while i was in line they shut it down for rain that you could barely feel. how strong was the wind when it rolled back?

It may not have been because of the rain, but possible thunderstorms in the area. The weather changes very quickly on Lake Erie, and TDD, as well as many other rides, are just very big lightning rods. FYI: lightning can hit up to 3 miles from a storm. (Thanks Discovery channel)

The best thing about Six Flags "Worlds of Adventure" is that Cedar Point is nearby!
