Obscure Cedar Point music question

When did they stop playing the cool Charles Mingus music at the Point? I vividly remember the xylophone solos as you walked up and down the Midway as a kid. Miss those days...

Big time music change this year for the better IMO. CP got rid of the same old boring music that had been playing for years.

^ Agreed! The only music in the park that needs changed is Dragster's queue music. It doesn't fit with the theme of the ride IMO.

No idea, but big ups to the original poster for having familiarity with Mingus.

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

Really? Songs about driving fast and such don't fit the theme?

"Good Vibrations", "Viva Las Vegas", "A little less conversation", "Move it Up"...Just to name a FEW, have nothing to do about driving fast. Therefore, my opinion still stands.

"I Can't Drive 55" by Sammy Hagar is a good choice, but that is the only song that I've heard that actually matches

Those songs might be played in the queue or something but they're not the theme song of Dragster.

This is Dragster's theme song,
