Obscure Cedar Point music...

I know some people here are hell-bent on identifying and collecting every scrap of music ever played on a Cedar Point midway...

The other night, I was driving down the road and heard something on the radio that I knew I had heard before. It took me a while to realize that the place where I had heard it was, in fact, a midway at Cedar Point. Anybody care to tell me where?

Not exactly my favorite style, but a zippy little tune nonetheless... :)

OH MY GOD! I've been looking for this. I heard this somewhere other than Cedar Point, but it's probably the same thing you're thinking. I know some of the "claw" machines in arcades play this tune, no lie. So that's probably where you heard it.

My guess would be near Johnny Rockets, the Coliseum Arcade, Jitney Arcade, or the Gemini Arcade.

The Win Zippo machines in every arcade play this song. Nice discovery.

And Rotunda Chillin takes the prize. Indeed, it's on the rotary pusher games. I was thinking specifically in Frontiertown near the shooting gallery, but that isn't the only place.

Out of curiosity, was my hint useful, or did you even notice it? :)

I didn't notice the hint, LOL. I knew exactly where that song was from as soon as I heard it...many of my quarters have been plunked in those machines over the years.

I have a few files of different song names used around the park that were given to me by someone a few years ago... I have no idea how current these lists are, but they may be useful to someone.

Speaking of Zippos, I completely cleaned out those machines in the Hotel Breakers arcade. Must have like 50 of those things now. Spent $200 or so but it was worth it. :)

Hey! That's my list! It's pretty dated. I think I updated that in 2005. I know there are some instrumentals there that some of you may recognize. Like Dave Koz or Dave Grusin. The playlist nearly completely changed after 2006.

There's still one instrumental I heard all the time in 2003, 2004 and 2005 that I haven't been able to find. It's become one of my white whale, and every time I see a thread about music here, I get excited. But I have yet to find that song.
