Nothing much operating today?

So, no Top Thrill Too, no Gemini, no Steel Vengeance, no Milennium Force today? I have checked and re-checked the cam and nothing. Why go? Why are they all "down"?

Hum, The Valavan has an empty train sitting on the track. Nothing happening there either.

Perhaps they didn't have enough staff to open everything today?

So the annual opening weekend train wreck was delayed a weekend? Interesting.

Why go? Because its better than being at work? What else to do, how about - Walk on the beach, grab some food, hang out with friends and family, Gatekeeper, Valravn, Raptor, Maverick, Skyhawk, Maxair, Wild Mouse, Slingshot. Grab an Ultimate Margarita or a Fort Sandusky, spend way too much on $16 beers, you know the usual stuff!

Looking at Queue Times data from today:

  • Millennium Force opened at 10:35am and has been open since
  • Steel Vengeance opened at 11:10am and looks like it was down from 12:55-1:40pm and is currently open
  • Valravn opened with the park but went down from 12:10pm-1pm and went down again at 1:35pm and is still down
  • Gemini has yet to open for the 2024 season, which has been reported here several times

Were you going to go if those rides were open?

First ride; Magnum 1994

I would never want to dispute data from Queue Times (whatever that is) but the webcams have shown Valravn running. Same with Steel Vengeance, although you can't really tell if there are people on the trains. Could be empty I guess.

queue-times.com is a great site that pulls raw data from the park apps for wait times. It's as accurate as the info the park has on the apps for guests. But it's a one stop shop and has no restrictions on needing to be in the park/connected to park WiFi, etc

Yes, I know the rides came online eventually. The downtimes seem epidemic anymore.

If you knew that they opened then why did you start a new thread by posting this?

Out of curiosity - do you work for the click-bait headliner group?

No, I don't work for anybody. Those coasters were not running when I posted the post. Sorry for the confusion.

I don't dispute the accuracy of wait times and closures on Queue Times. Unfortunately, it appears that an individual at the park can sent info to be posted as a sidenote about his/her wait time for a given ride. I remember seeing posts about Top Thrill Dragster having a certain wait time for an individual when in fact is was closed--and Queue Times said so--because I observed this several times after the accident in August of 2021. Don't be surprised to see a similar intentional lie posted by some jerk during TT2's closure.

I appears we cannot sugarcoat yesterday’s operations. Here is a good vlog to watch if you have an hour and a half to kill.

Jesus, 300k+ people want to watch this guy ramble for an hour about his vacations? The world doesn't make sense to me anymore. Get off my lawn!

Yeah it’s amazing what people watch on YouTube today, I’m guilty myself. The variety is mind boggling. This couple though does go to amusement parks all around the world. They were in Europa Park in Germany just last week and in Cedar Point this week. Pretty sure these YouTube vlogs pay for it all too

At least it wasn't the Rob & Alyssa show........
