not impressed??

okay this is just my opinion, you don't have to agree with me, but......

i was at the park May 29th and 30th. I rode TTD after about a 45 minute wait. It lasted 17 seconds. The launch was amazing. I was not able to appreciate the height because of the launch and the fact that it only lasts 17 total seconds. As the heights of rides get bigger and bigger, their impressiveness diminishes greatly. It is hard to appreciate the height of the ride even standing on the grounding looking up at it.

I think cedar point made a HUGE mistake with this ride. Not only because it never works, but because it is the 'cheapest' record-breaker. All they wanted to do was make the fastest and tallest coaster. Well congratulations, but the ride isn't great whatsoever after you get past the launch.

A larger version of Millenium Force would have been much better than ONE HILL lasting 17 seconds. This ride is a really cheap way for cedar point to say the have the fastest/tallest coaster.

Don't get me wrong, this is only my opinion. And I still think that cedar point is the greatest amuzement park in the universe - home to the greatest thrill ride ever. But that ride happens to be Millenium Force. The next coaster CP makes should run along the beach by wicked twister and out into the lake.

thanks.

So you've only ridden TTD once? My first ride was a total blur (front seat) as I only remember the ride in a few short flashes. When I exited the ride, I knew it was awesome, but I just couldn't remember it ... it was a very weird feeling. HOWEVER ..my second ride was just the opposite. And so my signature reads...

25 mil. is cheap? Come on now. That's a lot money even for a coaster.

TTD is my favorite steel coaster..It is by far the most intense I've ever been on. It may not be the longest ride, but it is the badest.

It's a matter of taste. I respect your opinion, but calling it cheap is a little unfair.

Try riding it a little more times, Ive noticed two things each time I ride it, 1) It gets better everytime and 2) The more you ride the more times you have to check out the rest of the ride, The view, red and white track, etc...

i was not saying 'cheap' as in money - i meant cheap as in they only wanted to break records so they made it one hill and a fast launch

and maybe you are right fat chris, maybe i need to ride it a couple more times before i make up my mind - if only the ride was RUNNING!

my brother waited 5 hours the same day i waited 45 mins to ride this ride - NO RIDE is worth waiting 5 hours for.

I will wait till the ride is operational, then try those 17 seconds again...

I havent rode it but I'm going soon and I can't wait! How do you say this is cheap? Look at superman at sfmm, that is cheap, it's not even a complete circuit, all they wanted was to break records. I think Cedar Point did a great job with this ride. Cedar Fair does have other parks to care about, TTD was 25 million with just what we got, if they added more it would have been very expensive.I think they did a great job with TTD.
I waited in line for 6 hours opening day, and it WAS worth it. Nothing in the amusement industry compares to the intensity of this ride. The more you ride it the better it gets.

...and the most anticipated event of summer 2003 is...

The Matrix: Reloaded!

CP bound,

I was amoung the people who waited in line open day (twice). Your right, IT WAS WORTH EVERY BIT OF WAITING 10 HOURS!!! (5.5 + 4.5=10) I can't even wait to do it again!
