i was at the park May 29th and 30th. I rode TTD after about a 45 minute wait. It lasted 17 seconds. The launch was amazing. I was not able to appreciate the height because of the launch and the fact that it only lasts 17 total seconds. As the heights of rides get bigger and bigger, their impressiveness diminishes greatly. It is hard to appreciate the height of the ride even standing on the grounding looking up at it.
I think cedar point made a HUGE mistake with this ride. Not only because it never works, but because it is the 'cheapest' record-breaker. All they wanted to do was make the fastest and tallest coaster. Well congratulations, but the ride isn't great whatsoever after you get past the launch.
A larger version of Millenium Force would have been much better than ONE HILL lasting 17 seconds. This ride is a really cheap way for cedar point to say the have the fastest/tallest coaster.
Don't get me wrong, this is only my opinion. And I still think that cedar point is the greatest amuzement park in the universe - home to the greatest thrill ride ever. But that ride happens to be Millenium Force. The next coaster CP makes should run along the beach by wicked twister and out into the lake.
thanks.

Wanna Get High? Ride Top Thrill Dragster
TTD is my favorite steel coaster..It is by far the most intense I've ever been on. It may not be the longest ride, but it is the badest.
It's a matter of taste. I respect your opinion, but calling it cheap is a little unfair.

and maybe you are right fat chris, maybe i need to ride it a couple more times before i make up my mind - if only the ride was RUNNING!
my brother waited 5 hours the same day i waited 45 mins to ride this ride - NO RIDE is worth waiting 5 hours for.
I will wait till the ride is operational, then try those 17 seconds again...
