Too bad. I always though Sue's was a cute little building.
Well, it didn't burn to the ground, I didn't notice anything unusual when I walked by, just that it was closed. Whatever was on fire must have been small and I'm sure they will repair any damage.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
Yes, in the meantime I saw a photo with smoke pluming from the windows and vents. Thank goodness.
I always worry that a devastating fire might someday break out at a favorite amusement park of mine. Wouldn't be the first time- back in the day of less-than-quality construction of such places, fire was a frequent occurrence and destroyed many parks and coasters. Dorney endured their fair share, and the fire that spelled the end of Idora was especially tragic.
Just the other day, I think on the Facebooks, there was a story of the fire that destroyed Coney's Dreamland, on the eve of the opening day of the 1911 season, no less. The place was destroyed along with several animals that couldn't be rescued in time. Sad.
My friend is one of those people that tends to take multiple texts to get a full idea and all pertinent info across so before I could get the video to load I'm texting "what happened" and her answer was just "fire" and I'm thinking for crying out loud recess is over I'm heading back to the classroom I don't have time to play 20 questions text edition just tell me what the heck is going on because I'm envisioning coasters as burnt matchsticks and finally when I'm outside the classroom door she texts that its a food stand. Phew..all is well I wasn't planning on riding a food stand this weekend.
I miss the Hot Diggity Dog that was over by Space Spiral... brings back so many memories. And yeah I know you can still get the exact same corndog other places in the park,
And maybe not top end food but if they ever remove the Happy Friar from the Gemini midway I don't know what I'll do.. well I'll probably eat somewhere else.
(Remembers "marathoning" Jr. Gemini as a 3 year old while my Dad was eating vinegar french fries, ah memories)

Hopefully no workers inside when fire happened. Also hopefully all workers and guests in that area at the time are all ok.

First off, the perch sandwich was really good...had it for both meals. Only negative experience I had, yesterday, was that the employees in the food services didn't know how to handle all of the different promotions and food plans. At the booth I was at, a woman had some sort of deal which the cashier didn't know how to handle, so, that led to my cashier stopping taking my order in the middle of taking my order to help figure out the issue. Since he didn't know what to do, this led the cook to stop making food so he could go try and figure this problem out. In the end, none of them knew what to do...lol...Luckily, the park was VERY dead, yesterday.
I noticed back in Frontier Town one of the food places with the new line set up and ordering kiosks doesn't display the menu and prices anywhere. You have to actually use the kiosk to find out what anything costs or if they have the exact thing you're looking for. Wasn't such a big deal yesterday since it wasn't busy but it kinds stinks that you would have to wait in line just to find out if you even wanted to buy the food there. When it's displayed up on the board you can take a quick peek and move on if you don't see what you want.
