No one told me about THIS!

The first thing I noticed when I rode my very first coaster at Cedar point was: THE SEAT BELTS!
I have never been to a park that has seat belts on their coasters. They seem unnesesary.. why have them. No one said anything about the seat belts. What do you guys think?

Also, I think that Gemini is even better due to the fact that you are close enough to give high fives to the train running beside you.. Are other racers like this??!!?!?

There just for safety man. Was it that big of a hassle?

Were gonna take you up real high, drop you down real fast, so enjoy your ride on the Mean Streak at America's rollercoast! Clear!
I know Racer at Kennywood you can give high fives, I'm not sure about any other racing coasters.

The seat belts arn't that big of a deal, but still... Why have them. At least they don't interfier with the airtime
here is why;

safety is no accident....

stop accidents before they stop you....

I think the real question is, why are they all bright orange?

I don't know, put yourself in a ride op's shoes and I think you've got your answer.

They're bright orange so that they can be easily seen by ride ops checking bars - most people aren't wearing bright orange pants, so they stand out.

The seat belts are there becouse most people cheat the lapbars and CP knows this, so they put the belts in to like Dan said safe lives and reduse accidents

coast, what doesn't stop those same people from loosening the seat belt on the lift. I TRY to make my lapbar as loose as possible, but the ride ops push the bar down. The seat belt really doesn't make a difference.

When I went to Kings Island, I was somewhat alarmed by the lack of seat belts. On The Racer, I literally stood up on the lift, and I could have gotten out of the train, if I wanted to. I think it's dumb to not push down on the lap bars and then not have a seat belt.

Like Dan said, "safety is no accident"

The belts are just redundancy in case the bar fails, not a means of oppressing the conspiring guests.

(Mental note: Wear bright orange pants and make them look twice for the belt, while looking extremely cool.)

I will buy some bright orange pants today, meet me @ The Gap!

I am used to seat belts by now, they don't have to be tight, just buckled.
