No more shuttle service to Breakers Express & Castaway Bay

I was just checking room rates for all their resorts. In the descriptions for breakers Express & Castaway Bay, it read: shuttle service is not available. Parking at Cedar Point is not included with the room rate.

Now they are forcing guests to pay the higher price to stay on Point just to for the added convenience. For the average guest, it is not big deal. But, now, when you have a family and the kids want to go take a break, you will have to take them to car and drive them back to hotel. It was so nice before when all they would have to do is pick up the courtesy phone and get a ride without you losing any time in the park if it is busy.

My wife's son has autism and wouldn't be able to handle the park the entire day. She could take him during the day and go chill in the pool while I remain in the park with her daughter.

I am glad I read the room description before booking and then getting pi***d off after getting there. I even told her about the service so we could stay at BE a little cheaper. The day we are planning, the cheapest room at the park is Bon Air $179. BE is $158. I know it's not a lot. But, that extra $21 could have gone toward the kids if they wanted to play any games.

It doesn't really surprise me with the way CP is cutting corners. I just wanted to post letting everyone know of the change before they book a room thinking they still offer the service.

I think they should add a bold note to their webpages for these two properties informing guests that they no longer offer the service.

Parking is only included with the package deals.

The times I've stayed there, don't think Breakers Express ever has shuttle service. But the thing about no hotel parking pass is cutting corners.

I don't think parking was ever included with a Breakers Express or Castaway Bay room, was it? I've never heard of the shuttle going off point in the past either.

Yeah I think the parking pass was with the packages you buy. Only shuttle I've seen was for Sandcastle, and Hotel Breakers.

I've stayed at Breakers Express once. 2 years ago for Coastermania. While I don't remember if the shuttle went there, parking was validated at the desk as we checked in after a brief trip to the park for that mornings ERT..
