No Aqua Socks?

In SC how come on all the slides and attractions the recordings say that aqua socks are prohibted? NOt like i wear them or anything, I just wondered why they do this.

Probably because they have a rubber bottom and the rubber may grip the slide and may want your knees to buckle.

Can you at least wear them up the stairs and hold on to them while going down the slide. I'm referring to the tube slides, i can see why on the body slides. That damn concrete gets hot as hell and i can't stand it after a while.

They let us hold them at MiAdv.

Possibly, but we haven't tried it. My kids wear water shoes in the wave pool, renegade river, and main stream, and it's never come up.

I think the reason why you can't wear them on the slides is... Because they don't want to get black marks all over their nice white slides.

The old west was never that wild. I had the last ride on Maverick!!!

They're tan.

Not all of them are the same color. I've seen them with black, white, blue, green, and tan bottoms.

The most logical reason for not allowing them on the slides is because they will grip the slide and may cause you injury. The water on the slide is there to reduce friction and make you go. Having your feet hit the slide and make you stop would be a Bad Thing.
