Night Rides

Anyone else partake in a Twister night ride yet? I did about 5 hours ago :).

Granted it's no Magnum at night kind of ride, but it is better at night. The flood lights kind of blind you a bit but nothing to bad. Looking at the park lit up around you twisting around is very neat. The station is very well lit and looks good.

The only thing that could make it better is if those lights were the colored high end variety. Being lit up in that flash/strobe effect that Milliennium Force has while riding would be sweet.

5:30 am is a lot like night, so yes, I have, and yes, it's very cool. A light drizzle adds to the flavor. ;)

I rode it twice at night. I liked the day ride (only 1) better, but I'm wierd like that. Contrary to many others, I like MF more during the day too.

I've taken 4 rides at night. Very cool to see the park spin around. I don't know whether I like the night or day ride beter though. And yes, I do think the station looks really nice lit up. But what are the black things that hang from the roof inside the station?

They were blowing around like crazy last weekend from the wind, it looked kind of funny.

By the way, MF has the same speakers.

I've had a few night rides, and they were great. One thing that is kind of cool is when you are riding front seat and you look at the track when you are on the front spike, the lighting makes it look really weird and it messes with your head.

Actually, I believe Jeff's 5:30 AM ride was on media day, the Thursday before the park opened. The news stations began having live reports at 5:30 on that day.

I've been on a couple of night flights. It's not bad. I think day is better. You can see further. I think it adds to the effect. I would also agree about the tower lights. They are kind of blinding....

There is no bad ride on the WT.
