Night Ride!

I notice how many people have the opinion about Millennium Force being 'boring' which is far beyond me, but still, try this.

It is 9:30 pm, and the park closes at 10 pm, head to Millennium Force, they will close the qeue, but allow the guests waiting to ride. It should be dark by then, and let me tell you, it is an ENTIRELY different story than riding it in daytime, also try varying your seats, for example front/back and things like that.

It can be a fun ride if you want it to be..

All I can say is Back seat at night owns. I'm sure front is nice too but I have only ridden back at night. It is a totally different experience, and If I had to choose between riding either TTD or Millennium Force Back seat at night, I would choose MF back seat at night. It is insane.

TTD Rides- 2 (3 counting rollback)
Rollbacks Seen - too many to count
Rollbacks experienced - 1

Front at night's good too. ;)

Courage is not the absence of fear. It is over comming it.

If you are goiing to ride front at night, you should be prepared to get hit by the bugs. Depending on when in the season it is, they can be really bad. I saw one guy come back to the station with his shirt covered in them. It's still a great ride, but you should wear a shirt you don't care about that much.

I always used to end my day with MilF! at night. But this year, since my friend I have gone with the most is a guest of exceptional size (tm), I usually do MF while he is burning off the calories playing DDR, if I do it at all.

We lately have ended the day at Magnum (since I park my car near that gate anyway), and Magnum at night is Absolutely Amazing (tm)!

But about the MilF! being boring, the boredom I noticed mainly during daytime or twilight hours. It does seem much better at night, but don't most coasters?

I think for Halloweekends, the night rides on MilF! will return. Too bad TTD threw off SCPP (tm) this year, meaning that I would need to choose between The MilF! and TTD when the park isn't open very late.

I have a picture of my shirt when I got off. It was white. Do the math. :D

Mid-August, around 9:30ish, the sun has just set, a Front seat ride... talk about "I THOUGHT IT WAS RAINING!" So many damn bugs, I came off the ride with my face covered and my shirt plastered in dead bugs... It was sick. I managed to brush them all off, but my friend insisted to keep them on, and wear them with pride and show everyone in the park... wierdo

ya at the end of july it was around 7:30 ish and we rode font of millie great ride, but those damn bugs i was weareing a white t-shirt the hole front was covered my face was completely covered, and all of my forearms were covered because i had my hands up. Hands down it was a great ride but those suckers hurt when their flying at you

The best night ride I've had on MF was last year, on a saturday during halloweekends.

On those days they hvae smoke generators by the path. I don't know if they had one right by MF's drop, or if it was just the wind pushing it over there. But all I know is coming over the top all I could see was a giant grey cloud. Then coming back into the first tunnel the whole cloud was being lit up be the lights. Very, very cool.

Yes, that is my favorite part of Halloweekends is the way that those colored lights of the Fright Zone mess with you while you're on MF. If I could take a camera on-ride with me just one time, I'd wanna grab a picture of diving past that smoke/lights section you're talkin about. Way cool.

Cool, I am going this coming weekend for a HalloWeekend, hope to get some launches on Dragster and night ride in front/back seat of Millennium Force.
I haven't had the opportunity to ride MF at night. Will they close the queue at 9:30pm or 10pm? Last time I was at CP we ran over to Dragster at 9:55pm and the let us in the line.

at night they will allow people to enter until the park closes or if u get an ass he'll close it early or if you get someone nice they let it open ane xtra 5 minutes or so

Sounds good! Thanks Jono!

The line will stay open as long as the park is open.

Ex. If the park's operating hours are 10 - 9, then the queue will stay open until 9.

The first time I rode Millennium Force was at night in the very very back. I couldn't see a thing, not even the track and the people in front of us(we could see the lights coming from the midway though) it was a weird ride.

Also if you ride Iron Dragon at night before the laser show in the front it must have more bugs than Millennium Force! Try it, ride Iron Dragon and then Millennium Force at night. Post the results.
