If you stand around at Battery Park, you too can take those photos!

DELETED! What time does the water show start?

Nice - and another interesting fact about these pictures is that the ship in them is somewhat famous. It is the Arthur M. Anderson, the ore carrier that was following the Edmund Fitzgerald when it went down in the storm on Lake Superior in November 1975. (The subject of the Gordon Lightfoot song, "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"). It also turned back into the storm to look for the Fitzgerald.

Just a useless historical fact that probably means little to anyone under 35 or so.

I generally come in from route 6 and weave my way through the "back way" to get to CP, but I have yet to figure out how to get to Battery Park. Where is it? Since I had some success with fireworks this past weekend, I'd like to set up my tripod and try to get some night shots of CP from the park.

Not very hard to find at all - Battery Park is the green box. If you follow 1st street (the closest to the lake on the right side of the picture) you intersect the causeway at the light just before going out onto the peninsula.

Also, Arthur Andersen was the accounting firm for Enron. Thats why the name may also ring a bell to people.

Thanks, we always come in from first street, so I know where that is at.

Not that I want a prize or anything but I'm only 16 and I thought that that was kind of interesting CheapRock.
