For businesses (such as CF is) its a very big deal. The way its written, CP can't even apply for a license to get in the game, meaning that those dollars that may have been spent on the CP midway are being spent somewhere else. I don't blame them for opposing the measure.

The big deal is that it's a lousy deal. If we are to assume all the social costs of casino gambling i would expect the government to get a larger share of the revenue. I also would expect that money to benefit everyone in the state, not just those who qualify for the grants to goto college.

Hey, those people are jumping off of a bridge. Everyone else is doing it, so I will to!

Read about the issue. You don't mess with a state constitution and write in who gets to do business.

You get to try if you get enough people that are uneducated about the petition to sign for it.

Hopefully, enough people will educate themselves on the issue before election day.
