News segment on channel 4 detroit tomorrow

Hi,

On channel 4 detroit their is going to be a news segment on Friday at 6 pm.

This is from clickondetroit.com

Friday at 6 P.M. Dangerous Drive
Cedar Point is one of the hottest summer destinations for local families, but the most frightening ride may be your drive to get there. Find out which road is so dangerous even state police avoid driving it.

I assume that it is about route 2 since I have read a lot of bad stuff about that road.

We went on Route 2 last trip and I spilled my drink while going about 20 mph. I'm glad they finally have a news report on it. Thanks for the info.
I'll have to check that out. Thanks for the info.
Also I read that 6 people died in a crash just recently on route 2.

Here is a article about it

I just watched it, they drove both the route 2 way and they also drove using the turnpike. It was only 14 minutes less using route 2. They drove the posted speed limits though.
Aactually, they said it was only 4 mins faster to use route 2. The piece really didn't give me any new information, and I'll still use route 2 on the way to Cedar Point and use the turnpike to drive back. Ever since the acident on route 2 I've decided not to drive route 2 during the night....oh well better safe then sorry right? *** Edited 7/24/2004 3:19:28 AM UTC by MichiganWolverines***
I totally agree with you MichiganWolverines. Since that accident, I will only take Route 2 on my way to Cedar Point and the Turnpike home at night. Never at night for me on route 2. I did it once and hated it.

Rest in Peace MrScott

Driving Rt 2 is no worse than driving any other road, imo. If you just be aware and cautious, nothing should go wrong. Plus, it's a more scenic rt. ie, a view of a nuclear power plant on the way! It's more risky driving on my crazy dirt road, it's curvy and theres no speed limit. Well, the limit would be 55 or 45 i think if none is posted, but still, just last year a van of kids crashed on my road, some of them died. So, Rt 2 isn't that hazardeous compared to others, imo.
