I'm so glad that they're doing this again! They put on a great show!

I personally feel that should have fireworks on closing night as well. I think it would be a nice way to end the season. Or, hey, since they're trying to get attendance up they could pull a page from the Cleveland Indians book and schedule a fireworks night every Saturday -- I'm only kidding about that. But for some reason people here in Ohio just love fireworks (and the lazer show fireworks don't count).

I had to miss last years opening day fireworks.:( I missed it by 10 minutes because my dad "had" to go. I'm mad because I know I missed out on a great show.
Now that I can drive by myself, I'm staying this time.:)

I agree with you about closing day.
I had never been to that before last year, and we say the WWL thing....saw Tony and Tyler on the way out...but really it felt sort of ....well....unceremonial...like a big party that just ended but the host never really tells anyone to go home, they just sort of randomly make their way out one by one until suddenly...you look around and no one is left. Fireworks at the end would indeed be a nice touch!
I remeber last years fireworks. It was great. Right as my friends from TPOL and myself were coming out of the photo booth for MF the fireworks started. We all said good bye and headed our seperate ways, I headed for the beach gate. I don't think I'll ever forget walking out the gate hearing "They're Comin to America" by Niel Diamond. Such a great memory...I can still see it happening as if it were yesterday.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
I wont be able to make it to opening day, I'm going opening week instead (8th - 12th) Hopefully the park will empty most of time.

I also like that, unlike the July 4th fireworks, the time it takes to get off the peninsula isn't bad at all! ;)
