I'm really interested to see how the lower prices are helping CP. They've yet to mention the park in any of the reports this year.

I know a couple friends who have stayed for two days instead of one when they found out the rate (the ride and slide or twilight or whatever the heck it is).

2008 - Games (Area 3/Scales)
2009 - Games Supervisor
2010 - Season pass holder.

The price decrease helped convince friends and family to go to the park more than once this year (and some of these people haven't been to a park since Boblo!)

It is all about price for them.

I've got to think even a 1% gain is disappointing considering the price reductions. Also, they didn't say how the attendence at CP is doing which leads me to believe it isn't so hot. The good thing is that July is the busiest month by far and that is still ahead of them.

I disagree about 1% being disappointing. With gas prices continuously rising, and with people limiting the distance of their travel plans, so long as CF can hold steady with attendance, I'd think they'd be satisfied.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, they never release per-park statistics mid-season. I'm sure someone will confirm or correct this statement.

Brandon

They do mention individual parks, but usually only when they are unusually good or unusually bad (and have a reason.) For example, I think the press release from CF fingered Dorney, but noted it had a lot of rain. They also lauded WoF/OoF. Last year, I seem to recall MiA was often mentioned as doing quite well.

If a park isn't mentioned, it is probably because it's attendance isn't that different from "average".

Bingo, Mr Noble! MiAdv had it's biggest year ever last year, and it was mentioned by CF many times.

That park has GREAT POTENTIAL!

Too bad the waterpark is the main draw, instead of Coasters. They really need to add steel.

I know Jeff laughs at us every time we say it, but I have to agree, a moderately sized steel coaster would be nice. Nothing too extravagant, but maybe in the Silver Bullet or Patriot range. A little bit more than I think they'll want to spend on the park (yet) but I can keep hoping.

Besides, Cedar Fair does have that 4 coaster deal with B&M. ;)
