News: ‘Light Up The Point’ fireworks return to Cedar Point

The night sky above Cedar Point is set to explode in a palette of colors, flashes, booms, and sparkles as the Light Up The Point fireworks spectacular returns on Saturday, July 4. A patriotic soundtrack will accompany the display, broadcast live on Sandusky’s 102.7 FM (WCPZ).

I'm a little confused as to why the Sun & Fun things wouldn't keep going. Still, nice to see something normal happening.

Maybe they want to use the time as a transitional period to finalize park setup and prep for the "full operations", training, testing, and maybe that big secret Mr. TC keeps hinting at.

I figure the week and a half (if I have my dates right) of a guest free point minus the 4th would be perfect for that.
