All i have to say about that is it's so ture no doubt about it.

Bring back Boblo!

I'm more curious about the future capital improvements to that part of the park.

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

I don't think the two are related, not that the land will go unused if/when the ride is sold.

Even if I wanted that in my backyard I don't think the city, county would allow such a thing. Although would be nice to have a big antenna tower...

I find it funny that at the end he 'notes' "Alot of people walk by". This is because, maybe, it's the main midway? Kind of a ovious statement.

I am still sad to see the great Demon Drop leave, but I can't wait to see what will go in its spot. Even If it is just a restraunt.

Thats why I said capital improvements and not ride.

Ah, just like the "Vain Dealer" to be a little behind in the news... ;)

Cedar Point does not need more food to replace a ride.

Unless it's BETTER food.

It's not offically going away yet. They said in the article that it will be up and running on opening day.

Imagine your favorite tv show. You've been through it all. The ups, the downs, the crazy coincidences and then bang! They tell you what it's all about. Would you be happy? Does it make sense? How come it all ended in a church? - Joker

I second that. (what Mr Scott said)

I didn't mean food either, or merchandise, Park Plaza is right next to it. I just have a feeling that once the land is clear, something unique is going to go there.

To be fair, it was an "entertainment" type article, not "breaking news." It was part of a larger, fun article on building your own amusement park. It was more than just Demon Drop, though that was the photo that dominated the front page.

It IS, after all, one of the first things people see when they enter the park, I'm sure they won't waste the space if/when it becomes available.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

This is Demon Drop we're talking about. WWL is understandalbe (no one rode it most of the time), but when have you seen DD's station dead. I'll miss those days of walking in the main gate and watching DD when the rest of my group goes to the bathroom.

I know what you mean Gomez. Especially when you're there with girls and they have to wait in line. I know that's what I did last season when I found out it was for sale.

And just to be a smart-bum, I saw that station dead on September 3rd, 2005.

Don't forget the sounds of DD.:)
They are truely part of the unique sounds of Cedar Point. Some of the first things you hear (aside from Raptor) entering CP is the release and brakes of DD. I would definatly miss those sounds.
