Here is the web site of the company in charge of the new nighttime show:
Nice, so its not like Stone Mountain has completely left us... the two men that own Interlaced Productions are the former president and vice-president of Stone Mountain. Maybe we can expect a half decent show afterall...

I think "New" might be a bit overused. The first Summer Spectacular was built abruptly and lasted longer then anyone would have guessed. I'm under the impression that this show isn't much more expensive then the old show and of a similar format. The new effects will be cool - I hope that the drama is over at Stone Mountain and the producers of the show will be as creative as possible with what they have, but for more $$$ and perhaps a slightly different direction the show could really take off. Here's hoping for at least more fireworks!! The weekday show of the Summer Spectacular was really getting skimpy.
Beware the Kraken
Were they using a different amount of fireworks during the week than on the weekend?

During Saturdays and most Special Holidays they would fire more stuff. Extra shots during "YMCA" and a few more pieces here and there during other songs. Windspeed and direction also has an impact on what may fire. Every once in a while - if fireworks were held back during a show, I think they would fire it after the park closed instead of removing the remaining pieces.

Whatever they're planning, it should be nice. They've put in a new truss in front of the screen, and a have a bunch of new moving yoke fixture outdoor protectors over there as well.
