The article mentions 12 hours of ERT. I thought the park was open to the public.

The park is open to the public that day. We are at the park riding at 6AM and riding until midnite. There is no ERT during regular park hours. I think it is a misprint because that does not add up.

Thats what I thought.. I was hoping we got lucky and they closed the park for us. That would be sweet.

Maybe they count all the ERT, including ERT that is going on at the same time.

Ben might be correct. Just like when you buy a DVD claiming "8 hrs of bonus features", only to see it have a couple of featurettes and about 3 commentaries. if it's a 2 hr movie, those commentaries add up to 6 of those hrs.

So, if you take all the rides scheduled for Coastermania and added them up, it probably would be 12.

I added it up (what a boring job I have), and it adds up to 13.5 hours.

I have two questions about this, how do you join so that you can be a part of this and what are the lines usually like on coastermania.

Well, if you arn't too late, you need an affiliated coaster club membership. Like ACE or CoasterBuzz. But you will need your membership card to process in. If you have the club membership AND a Cedar Fair season pass it's free (GL must be a 2 park pass)

Which means ... you can pretty much forget it this year. If you're not already a club member you will not get your club pass in time. It is only a week away.

Join Coasterbuzz Club in time for next year. CBuzz Club is the most cost effective (cheapest) and supports our supporters. ;)

I'm really looking forward to Coaster Mania, although I'm kind of bummed because I just found out I'm probably going to have to skip Coaster EXT the next day at Geauga Lake. I even reserved a hotel room months ago for it. :(

No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

I'm probably the biggest noob on here but

You REALLY get use out of the FAQ, Walt.

What did we ever do without it?

If you read the link at the top of the page you will understand better what CoasterMania is.

And news stories, in this case. :)

So how do I join this "coaster club thing"
I know it's too late for CoastMania 06' but for in the feature...

Ether way I'm still going that weekend so what do you think the lines will be like.

You can join any coaster club, there are many to pick from. Coasterbuzz.com has a coaster club, as well as aceonline.org AKA ACE is a coaster club. You have to pay to belong, and you can check both sites for what all is included in a membership.
