News Channel 5

Did anyone just catch the report on Maverick live at the park, I thought it was kind of weird they were doing one this late and a few weeks before the park opens. They showed some video of the area, which is beginning to look very nice. For those who missed it part 2 will be shown between 5-7 AM tomorrow. That segment will consist of behind the scenes footage and construction videos.

I remember the night before Dragster was (officially) announced one of the Toledo stations (Fox I think) had someone standing live in front of the ride during their 10 PM newscast in the dead of winter. Now that was a little weird.

Well, I certainly hope so - that, or his cable is free.

I just haven't seen a T.V. hooked up to antenna for quite some time.

I didn't know people still used those things. :)

I tried using one a while back, which brought back memories...

That's it! Keep it right there!!! Wait, no, move it just a tiny bit to the left! OK. Oh, no, put your hand back on it!!! Aww, man, where's the aluminum foil?

Good work capturing that news cast Mutedarkness. Its crazy how accessable media has become, its on tv last night and on pointbuzz today. I love it! Also, I actually still use an antenna to grab some free HD of local channels.

Whats with the video obituary of X Flight?

Come to the Willi house, we've got ourselves a giant antenna on our chimney.

We'll get "real TV" when we decide to watch it.

Few things annoy me more than when people preface every ride name with "the." "The Magnum." "The Millennium Force." People don't say, "I met The Dick and The Jane for dinner," so why would you do it with rides?

What do you think I've been saying for 18 months now? Of course, I've claimed its an Ohio thing since the Register seems to be hooked on the addition of unnecessary articles to proper names, not to mention tOSU.

Goodbye MrScott

^^What about the guy calling it CP's Frontierland?

(Though I guess that's just the media and research not agreeing with each other... ;))

^^^ That's Ohio residents for you.

Ohio State's real name DOES include "The" at the beginning though. I remember doing some filing work in high school and OSU is under the letter "T." Even though i'm an Ohio resident, I will agree with you that "the" is added to a lot of things here.

It's not an Ohio phenomenon. I met someone the other day who talked about "The Rebel Yell" at Dominion and she grew up in the DC area.

Not to mention the strange habit of LA residents to refer to freeways with "the" - "The Five", "The 410", etc. I take it as a sign of a sense of personal ownership over the highways since they spend so much time on them.
