News: Cedar Point train still on track after 100 million rides

On behalf of all crew members past and present, I would like to once again say thank you to all that have ridden on the CP&LE Railroad since it opened in 1963. A great legacy it has with Cedar Point, and lets continue this legacy for many years to come! We would love to see our ridership numbers hit 2 million this season so, ''Everyone get over and ride the TRAIN!'' ;)

As the railroad's second superintendent Mike 'Myron' Hetrick always said, ''Oh Lordy, it's going to be a great season!''

I just got back from a great four day trip, but I have a question about the CP&LE RR.

While the locomotives looked great, the cars are in terrible shape! Are they in the middle of a rehab, or has CP just decided not to keep them up anymore?

One set, the nicer set, is currently being refurbished.
