So much for it being a third quarter deal.

Also, was it ever stated (explicitly or implied) if this years season passes would be valid at the paramount parks?

I know it was implied or speculated that they wouldn't, but I don't remember if anyone asked the question point blank.

Goodbye MrScott

John

I received an e-mail saying they had completed it just a few moments ago. It was a bit surprising... I still think its a great opportunity.

No, I don't think anyone ever asked it directly. I think when they said "All operations will continue just as they do now" they were telling us that CF season passes wouldn't work for Paramount parks and vise versa. Maybe someone did ask it directly though...

WOW, I guess when they said it could possibly occur in late June, they must've really wanted it to happen that way. The last day of June.

Definitly looking for a return in money from peak season.

I guess Cedar Fair will drop the name paramount from the names of the parks. On the Cedar Fair main page, they're all listed with out Paramount in Front. It's just Kings Island, Canada's Wonderland, Kings Dominion, Carowinds, and Great America.

JuggaLotus, CF has answered your questions on the aqcuisition FAQ's page.

"Will season passes be able to be used at all of the parks?
There will be no changes to the season pass programs for the 2006 operating season. The season pass programs along with pricing strategies at all of our parks will be reviewed for the 2007 operating season."

The new map shows just how well the parks are spaced apart from the existing CF parks. I continue to think this was a great move for the company.

I like how CP's flag is by far the biggest one on the map.

^Noticed that as well. Being mainly just a CP fan, I like knowing CF's main attraction will remain the same. No matter what is said here about the parks crazy policies, CP seems to be getting better and better as each month I get to the park. Even after a ultra busy day or a rain out, I'm still far from being disappointed.

I know this is a little off topic, but I appreciate what CF is doing. The future looks bright for my heaven on Earth!!
