That's crazy! I didn't know Diamondback claimed that many cell phones. I wonder how many people lose their cell phones at Cedar Point and what roller coaster people lose their cell phones the most on?

Haha! Nice. :)

Let's Get Weird.

I worked a year on the wave crew at soak city and we'd usually find one smashed phone a week somewhere outside of Magnum (not counting sunglasses and other stuff) and watching the person at the end of the day actually gathering stuff inside the fence, I'd say it was a decent amount of stuff and I'd bet that magnum isn't even the worst

Our guy who used to work entrance at Terror Island (the Paddlewheel building) had many a cell phone rain upon him from Dragster. I guess getting hit with a phone falling from 420 feet hurts quite a bit, from what I've heard.

I remember seeing that tank full of broken cell phones at King's Island. I thought it was a nice creative idea for them to do that. As for which ride claims the most phones at CP, I would have to guess Raptor would be up there because of all of the inversions and the restraint not being tight on your legs. I would also say Maverick, but the harness probably helps keep stuff in the pockets.

I've always thought that more parks should adopt the tank full o' broken crap idea. It's probably the most effective way to remind people to secure their stuff.

As for what ride claims the most objects from pockets at CP, my guess would be Magnum.

During a one-day school trip to the Point back in May, we had three people have their cell phones fall out of their pockets on Maverick - all three phones came back in a few different pieces.

It's interesting what you can find in the park. We have 4 families who go around seeing who can collect the most loose change throughout the park by the end of the season. My nephew had the most last year with almost $45 in just loose change. My wife did find a $20 a few years back. My sister-n-law found a diamond earing in the lazy river. She pawned it and got a little over $100 for it. You never know what you will find.

I agree! When I was younger, my parents and I would save all of the loose change and use it for season passes the next year. I remember my mom finding $20 in a cigarette wrapper! From that point on, every empty package of Marlboros was kicked around by my feet and searched well.
