What a moving story; with or without the Cedar Point connection. Unfortunately, the years of service above self seem a distant memory as Americans, and the World, seem to be more self-absorbed than ever before.

This article should be picked up by the AP and printed in every paper in America.

"You can dream, create, design and build the most wonderful place in the world...but it requires people to make the dreams a reality."

I dunno... I don't think I'm that pessimistic about where we are. There are still a lot of good people doing good things for others. A whole section of reality shows cropped up around it, even if product placement and ratings is a condition of that "cause."

And let's be clear... charity and philanthropy is still performed because it feels good, and that's self-serving. I do things for others partially for me. I don't think there's anything "un-pure" about that either.

Thanks for the article. It is terrific.

Also, Jeff, thanks for not being so pessimistic. It is easy to be negative about the world when you look at many things that are going on. However, when you stop looking at the minority of people who are making the majority of this negative news happen, you notice that most people have good hearts and do care about doing good things.

...and enjoy the rest of your day at Cedar Point, The Am-aaaa-zement park!
