New(old) skyride

so, now that CP has Michigan's Adeventure...I wouldn't be surprised to see that old sky ride that's been sitting in storage for years move to Michigan's Adventure. Just a thought.

I wouldn't count on it.. I think there are already plans for it's use...

I dont know about that...as far as I know the old Sky Ride has been used for spare parts.Maybe what they will do is send the old gondolas in for repainting and repairs and then buy new machinery. My friend did tell me that everything for the ride is still there, and I myself did see some things.Whether or not it(the machinery) is still operational is another story. Most likely,if the ride machinery is still there,I bet it cannot be used again because it has sat dormant for soo long that it would be safer just to use all brand new material.~Ex Troika Chick

Are you talking about the Frontier Lift or an earlier version of the current Sky Ride?
He's refering to the sky blue ones that are in the boneyard. Brought to CP from either Valleyfair or Dorney... I don't recall which...

Brought to CP from Dorney.
Pretty interesting. They have moved the from the old bone yard to the new one. If they weren't going to do something with them they would have got rid of them. (At least based on my home moves. After the first move junk gets thrown out.) You can get a great look at them from the train. Is the rest of the equipment for them there? I don't remember seeing towers or anything. There was something shrink wrapped. Is that related or not?

mf laps = 100! No More No Less!!
Seen shrink-wrapped in the Cedar Point boneyard last Friday: a couple of Wildcat cars, a couple of Demon Drop cars, and a couple of cars from Mine Ride Train #1.

Hey Jeffrey Spartan, Cplove and I will be there!!! See ya then! (mmm...I can taste the hot dogs all ready)
You know what would be cool? If they were to follow through with the boardwalk idea, then they could put a skyride spanning the beach area....a lot like morey's pier....the views would be incredible. It could be more of a leisure skyride, instead of a really short transport skyride like the midway one. Either that or they could connect the boardwalk to the magnum area or something.
what exacally is timberfest??? Because I'll be there Saturday, and I was wondering what it was.
Like Coastermania...only with one coaster. :-)
Longer ERT. Also -- night rides in a park never open after dusk.
