New WT Spiel - Let the theme music begin!

Yesterday Morning WT started running with a new funky techno song fading into a nice womens voice telling us Welcome to Wicked Twister etc etc...after this the song kicks in and then begins to slow down as if a record is being slowed down...I think this is when the train is supposed to launch...however the ride ops have already become impatient with their new spiel and often launch before the full spiel is over....they let all the safety stuff go, but once the lady starts to say thank you for riding WT and enjoy the rest of your day...it is normally cut off by our launching in 3 2 1...sorry for the lengthy talk but I know some people wanted to know what the new spiel was all about....

Thanks for posting Josh. Can't wait to hear the new spiel. Frankly, if the ops are ready to launch before the end of the spiel, that means they are running more efficiently

I got to hear it today - it is cool music, the only thing is that it doesn't play at all during the woman's autospiel, so it doesn't really set the mood as well. The music plays first for about 5 seconds, then it cuts to the autospiel, then the train is launched, then it cuts back to the music as the train goes back and forth through the station. Definitely a step in the right direction!

Hey - maybe someone was listening when I said the WT station was very sterile and lacked energy in a recent TR! Thanks Mr. Spehn! :) Glad to hear WT is up and running and that they've made the station a bit more interesting! :)

I rode for the very first time today. The music was cool, but that woman, she sounds like shes got either laryngitis or a sore throat or something.

Cool. I can't wait to hear this when I go tommorow. Now we just need that MF music back.

Six Flags: More fun than an anal probe!

If anyone is wondering, its The Crystal Method - The Winner off of the Tweekend cd. When I got up to the station last nite I was like whoa cool Crystal Method. But they should have the music play in the background during the lady yapping because you only get to hear about 5 seconds of the song.

As for me, I'm nearly 50 and have absolutely NO clue. I have a feeling I'll like the music for eXcelerator more that the WT music.

I heard it today and liked it. It was far better than what they had before. While waiting for the front seat, Bill Sphen came up next to me and was talking to an employee. I heard him say he really liked the music too.

I guess I'm bitter because Chemical Brothers, who I often associate as Crystal Method's nearest cousin, released an outstanding album about the same time. In fact, Come With Us has a number of songs that would be perfect for queue spiel.

Wow, I don't know if this thread did it, but the autospiel has already changed. Now, the music continues to play (a little softer though) during the woman's voice. Also, once the train is launched, the music only lasts for the first trip up the forward spike. It used to last for the whole time (not very loud).

I loved the new station music! It really got me more pumped than silence yesterday, but they still need to do away with the classical music played in line. BLEH!

I haven't ridden it in a few days, but the last time I rode it I hated the new speil and music. The music didn't hype me up at all for the ride. In fact I found it to be really annoying when it was playing during the entire ride. Maybe Sunday when I go again, I'll listen for the changes.

I don't think the music is that bad, but the station atmosphere is nothing like what we had on MF, and the music isn't helping any. Then again, the atmosphere of the entire ride feels sort of un-CP-like to me, but that's another story.

The MF theme has a driving beat, that's what makes the big difference. The current music doesn't have that.
