"New" Webcams

I know this has already been mentioned in the cable break thread, but if anyone hasn't seen yet, CP has changed around the webcams a little bit. In addition to the Power Tower Cam being fixed earlier in the week, they now moved the Ground Cam to a closer view of the station and the midway, and also "zoomed in" with the Beach Cam.

Woohoo, that's cool, now we can all see the ride from a new perspective.

looks great! :)
I like the view of the station! On the other hand, I miss seeing all the people pose in front of the old TTD cam. It was pretty funny... some people were pretty creative. =)
It looks very cool. Although I'm a bit mad because I wanted to stand by the photo booth to look like "the guy who took a leak on Dragster" :) I was thinking about doin that next time I went to Cedar Point but its too late now. But I can always have someone get a picture of me standing there.

I love the new webcam location. Definitly glad to see the power tower cam back up and running

Is it just me or are they keeping the cameras running into the night, instead of using an archived photo from earlier in the day? I hope they keep them on so we can enjoy the lights of CP at night.
FYI, The new location of the Ground Cam is the top of the photo booth.
Looking at the ground cam, those colored lights on the station's roof look really cool. And I must also extend my congrats to CP for getting TTD back up and running so quickly! This deserves a new sig:

Now if they could just *focus* the station cam...

I'm guessing it has some kind of autofocus, which naturally doesn't work well with bright lights and crap on the lens cover. Should be switched to manual if they can.

I would think that an autofocus camera would be more costly than is necessary to be trained on a building that doesn't move. It's probably a manual focus camera mis-adjusted or a fixed focus camera out of whack. Their cams have gone out of focus periodically before and they've fixed them.
