I would like to see the next positioning of a webcam up on the ttd level, but facing the back side of the park. Tilt it towards the Maverick area to pickup the major attractions back there, including STR, but from a different angle? Any other ideas?

Not a bad idea here. That would be a great view of the park because you would get to see more rides (I think) and maybe the Starlight experience. The thing I have against the front view of the park of the Dragster cam is that its mainly the parking lot. Im sure people will disagree with me though and like the front view.
I've been wondering for the past year why they can't put a second camera on TTD facing the other way.
Actually, seeing how full the parking lot is on any given day is pretty useful if I feel like throwing together a trip to the Point. Likewise with getting a sense of TTD's line. I already know what the rides look like.
The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.
I always thought it would be cool to put a webcam that dosent just take a picture but is live all of the time at the top of millennium force facing the riders so you can see them go down... too bad it won't happen.
What? This is Top Thrill!?!?!? I thought I was riding Iron Dragon!!
I like Diamondback's webcam where it changes views every 10 seconds or so. The picture isn't too bad either.

If my memory is serving me correctly, I do believe there is a closed circuit surveillance camera facing the riders at the top of the lift hill on Millennium. Not sure if it is a color camera or just B&W but if they could hook that camera feed into the website I'm sure you would see some interesting faces on riders.
Unless it was added recently, there isn't a camera at the top of Millennium. The only one for the lift is at the back of the station looking up.
The pic of STR from the top of TTD, on the latest 'on-point' blog, is exactly what I suggested for a webcam. Nice picture, Tony!!! http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/2010/5/12/Almost_There.cfm
