The hose is for the impact wrench so the nuts will be tighter than hand.

I figure the yellow 'hose' is the wire that runs from the limit switch down to the computer. If it was a hose for a wrench, wouldn't it be below the workers and already attached to the wrench, which is likely sitting on the platform the workers are standing on.

When we got to see the track sections up close, there was a prox switch near the top, and a bracket for another one another couple of feet up. I don't doubt that's what it is... a wire for the switch.

Your right, it probably is for the limit switch.

wonder why they make you enter from the beach side.

It makes sense to enter from the beach side. It's like most of the coasters. Enter on one side of the station, ride, then leave on the other side of the station. So if you enter on the beach side, you exit right back into the Plaza by Giant Wheel, and by the entrace. A good chance you'll go right back in line. :)
