I'm all for requiring shirts on the rides. The sweaty seat back is a good point.
Do you really think that a shirt keeps sweat from getting onto a seat back?

Is it really that much of an issue to wear a shirt while you are at an amusement park? What is it that gives some people the right to determine which rules they need to follow and which rules they can ignore?
Well they already sell a wristband that lets people cut in line. Perhaps they could sell another one that lets guys walk around without a shirt. ;)

It does help, yes.

How does it help? Someone gets sweaty, their shirt absorbs the sweat, the sweaty shirt comes into contact with the seatback.
Shirts are like OTSR. They give the illusion of protection but don't necessarily offer better protection:)

I'd rather them sell another one that's lets girls walk around without a shirt ;)

It acts as a barrier, and allows sweat the opportunity to evaporate before it soaks through. Sure, people can and often do sweat right through their shirt, but it does help in many cases.

I was just talking to my brother-in-law a couple weekends ago. He was complaining about how he went to a water park in Indiana. He had a shirt on and was told to remove it before going down the slide, because the shirt would cause too much friction and he wouldn't make it through the ride. He was actually upset that he had to remove his shirt...
I was at Idlewild Park once. Somebody was wearing a shirt on one of the body slides. The shirt actually got caught in part of the slide.
Unless it is one of those speedo type shirts (meant for water), I don't know why somebody would wear a shirt or any other type of non water clothing in the water.
How about guys buy wristbands they give to girls to get them to take their shirts off? Or better yet, bead necklaces?
At CP you can go shirtless and shoeless from Shoot the Rapids back to the Snake River Falls entrance. Be aware that this section of the park is also the only part of the park that still has asphalt midways, so stand on said midways in bare feet at your own risk.
Maybe they should bring back the annoying talking sign? :)

^ After driving 5 hours non stop and then entering a stop and go situation, I can't imagine at least a hand full of people not being worried about their car overheating? New or old car.
Shouldn't make a difference. The engine will stabilize at around 180 degrees no matter how long you drive. Stop and go traffic is also not a problem, A/C on or off. If you have a car that overheats in stop and go traffic you have cooling system problems.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
I saw a guy with his shirt off today. He put smiley face stickers over his nipples. The ride ops on Gemini still made him put his shirt on. He started arguing with them explaining how it should be okay for him to ride shirtless since he covered up his nipples... He sounded ridiculous.
Visitors without pants, are the real issue!
Just another reason to air condition the whole park - and upcharge for it!

I think there probably are some people who don't know the rule. But its a small minority. The rest either don't care, think the rule is silly or otherwise shouldn't apply to them. How many places do you go (which do not involve swimming) where the expectation isn't that you will wear a shirt? And yes, guys swim without shirts. Doesn't mean they should go shirtless everywhere.
Until I see proof that a small minority do not know the rules, my opinion still stands. How are High School/College people supposed to know the rules if it isn't strictly enforced like it should be on the midways.
Cause, they're to busty getting the evil smokers.

Places where it's not allowed or not appropriate to be shirtless FAR outnumber places where it is allowed. I don't think this point is lost on high school/college kids. Rather, I think GoBucks is dead on in suggesting that people of that age simply think rules just don't apply to them. Because they're all special snowflakes and what-not.

If the cops are busty, I don't care who they're getting.

Well they are posted at each entrance to the park and in the park guide. It is up to each person to read and obey the rules posted.
