New roving cleveland.com cam?

If you go to the cleveland.com cam, the camera is not working now, but if you click the link to 'learn more about the Cedar Point Cam', it says that the locations could change throughout the day. Looks like multiple cams are planned for this year.

It's been down for a while.

They updated the site. That's why it was down.

Or maybe THEY'RE just having trouble with THEIR site so that you can't go THERE.

I think its said that before on Cleveland though, it just hasn't moved in 2 years. It'll be nice to have a new view on that cam.

The cleveland cam had a part that needed repair and should be operational by the beginning of next week.

I don't see why people are so interested in these webcams. Its only a still picture that refreshes after a certain amount of time. Maybe if it worked like a video camera I would be more interested but i'm really not that bored.

The cleveland cam is a live streaming cam.

That's what is nice about the Cleveland cam--they have a video option or a still picture that refreshes every minute.

KayG

They have been saying it could change positions for 2 years now and it only has once as far as I know.

So it must be a lot better than the CP webcams then.

I always thought the webcam would be cool right next to TTD's staging area. Maybe place it on top of the room that holds the control panal in the load station. It be cool to see the train move out onto the staging area and launch, catch a rollback. maXair plaza wouldn't be all that bad either.

Well right now there is a huge water splotch in the middle of the webcam for Maxair.

It won't be gone until someone goes up there and dry's out the case that houses the cam. I doubt that's very high on their list of stuff to do before May 7th.

To tell you the truth, I like the Cleveland cam where it is because there aren't any cams in that area. I mean the one on the CP site shows the Dragster Midway, but only that small area. The Cleveland cam showed a nice view of the Corkscrew area. There is already a cam on the CP site over near maXair, so why put another one there?

Maybe it has been mentioned elsewhere, but the Cleveland web cam is back up. Same location.

That's strange, I wonder why it was down for so long and it didn't even change.

I heard it needed a new part.

Sounds good to me, as I stated 4 posts up I am happy that it didn't move.
