New Ride for 2002

I have an uncle who works for Cedar Point. He has leaked some info to me about CPs new ride for next year. I'll let everyone in on it, but you must promise not to tell anyone, OK?
The new ride will be a 9,200 ft. long wooden coaster named Cedar Streak. It will have 2 lift hills. The first being 198 ft, the second will be 186 ft. It will reach speeds of close to 88 mph. The station will be located where oceana is now and it will travel all over the park. Many tunnels will also be incorporated.
Cedar point will officially make an announcement in August. Construction will begin in September. Remember who told you this first.

SO we tag this along with the 4 other "inside scoops" your "uncle" has given us??

Actually.. no I design computer chips for military and areo-space use.. but I find it funny how your "uncle" seems to have come up with 4 stories this year alone.. the search feature is wonderfull on this site..

I design computer chips for the military and aero-space use too. I also design cars for GM, am a pilot for Delta, command a submarine, am the Prime Minister of France, and the King of Whales.

Believe what you want.. the people from here know who I am and what I do.. and honestly, your opinion matters not and just goes to show the lack of maturity that most kids have these days.. It's a sad sad world...

I'm with you Rob. I think most people would be surprised at the number of people that hang out here that are in upper management. Not that flipping burgers is bad.....I'd rather be in upper management.

It's great to hear news. The reality is until it hit's a press release it's a rumor. If we talked about every rumor that is out there, this site would be called guide to the rumor mill. Stand in a long line at CP and listen to the rumors fly. I have heard every one you can think of. I do not post nor pay tribute to the lemon chill guy. Even if the lemon chill guy is right and may be the CEO. Most people in management know it's not 100% real until you announce it. Economic conditions, rain, unforeseen construction issues, or maintenance issues can delay a project. You don't embarrass yourself and release something that's not real. I bet for every project that is completed there are three or four that don't make it. That's where rumors start. It is 'likely' that something will happen in 2002. Can things change between now and then, yes.

Some of us actually like Cedar Point and have fun talking about it on this board, rather than annoying other people and picking fights with someone we don't even know on a forum. I am only gonna remember how big of an idiot you are not remember you told me first about this crazy coaster CP is "building".
