Matt, how do you know, are you at Cedar Point working on the restranunt?

Let's just say there'll be more to eat in that area than Millennium Dogs this year.

"Blue Food and Fun" to be the name and theme.

Cedar Point has become famous for not only their record-breaking assortment of thrill rides, but also as an amusement park with a wide variety of food for every taste.

Patrons to the park have choices of anything from cotton candy and salt water taffy to burgers and fries to fine dining at the Bay Harbor Inn. Whether it is fast-food or counter service, park guests can find anything that they're looking for to suppress their appetites. Almost.

Yesterday, Brian Witherow, Corporate Director of Cedar Fair LLC announced that a new sit-down full-service restaurant will be added near the new "Snoopy on Ice" theatre. The restaurant will be called BLUE FOOD AND FUN and will feature a menu made entirely of blue foods.

"We wanted to go with a completely different concept than has ever been done," said Witherow. "'Blue Food and Fun' will be sure to please even the most picky child."

When asked about the apparent dearth of the color blue in foods, Witherow replied, "There are many directions that we can go. We will obviously have blue corn and blue potatoes. Blue cheese and blueberries will be served as well. Also blue Jell-0 and blue beverages. Those are obvious choices. However beyond that, we have hired a very creative chef to create blue hues throughout our food. It will be a fun experience."

The restaurant will be on the former site of the Dodgem ride on the main midway and will be decorated in "every shade of blue under the sun," said Witherow. He went on to describe it as Cedar Point's first totally interactive dining experience, but would not expound upon that, instead wanting to let diner's experience it for themselves. "All I can say is that it will be a completely new concept in dining".

Blue Food and Fun will be owned wholly by Cedar Fair, and plans are already in the works for expanding the franchise to other Cedar Fair parks in 2003.

Actually it would be Dodgems #1 which is the one over by Witches Wheel I heard they were remoivng that and sending it it MA but I thought they were not doing that untill next year.

Let's see: Blue mustard, blue ketchup, blue bugers, blue pizza. I hope all the kiddies have a good time b/c I am going to blow right by blue.

Did anyone catch the location of this. Could the reporter have made a mistake or is Dodgem II going to be moved to another place in the park? I'm guessing this is a typographical error. And the restaurant will sit in the place of the Former Dodgem 1.

I was under the impression Dodgem II was being moved to the old location of Dodgem I. I think the article is correct.

Maybe they'll do a follow-up article to clarify. If they do, they should also let us know if Blueberry Chill® will be on the menu.

I often wonder why there's no blue food. Every other color is well represented in the food kingdom. And don't bother me with blueberries; they're purple. The same is true with blue corn and blue potatoes. They're purple. Blue cheese? Nice try. It's actually white cheese with blue mold. Occasionally, you might run across some blue Jell-o in a cafeteria. Don't eat it. It wasn't supposed to be blue. Something went wrong.

That's the best article I've ever seen in the register. It's like someone from the outside helped them. It's written in the style of those great Pennsylvania writers.
