New Record for CP with WT!!

Has anyone discovered that WT at 215' is going to be not only the tallest impulse coaster, but the tallest inverted coaster in the world as well...if you count impulses as inverts....just something I hadnt heard mentioned lately

That would be true, becuase The train could easily sit on top of the track....

Vekoma is building a taller, full circuit SLC overseas.
Yeah but is 90 degrees considered inverted??

It doesn't matter what the degree is. It's the trains, not track.

And, yes, they are building a 235 foot inverted coaster, Oddesy is what is is called I think.

well at least we have the record now...Celebrate!!

Sorry for getting a bitttt off topic here, but a 235' SLC? All I can say is, 'ouch.'

And I HATE to bring up the damn SFMM debate, but if S:TE is like, 400+ feet, shouldn't WT classify as 215'? S:TE never gets to the top of the structure, and I'd be willing to bet that the back (or front) of the train would get further up the back (or front) spike than the S:TE vehicle on that thing.

Is Odyssey 235' tall, or 235' over sea level? I've heard rumors that they've highly inflated the stats on that one.

That said, full-circuit and shuttle stats differ somewhat. Magnum wasn't the first 200 footer, but the first to lift the entire train over 200'.

Cynic,

Odyssey will be 235' tall and built by Vekoma, some people in various chat groups are mentioning that Vekomas in Europe tend to run a lot smoother, so ya never know.
