New pop up ads terrible on iPhone

I know you guys are running a business but the new pop up ads are super annoying on the iPhone. Makes browsing the forum very tedious. Plus some of the ads force the App Store to launch without even touching a link on the page.

I can assure you that we didn't intentionally put it there. I'm trying to understand what the source of it is so I can turn it off. Online advertising is an unfortunate mix of networks, resellers and redirects, and it's sometimes hard to find where the things are coming from.

They're the same way on Android..

Yes, I noticed myself on my phone earlier this afternoon. As soon as I saw it, I let Jeff know so that we could track down the rogue advertiser. Ad networks can have hundreds of resellers, all who are supposed to follow the network's guidelines. But sometimes that bad apple pops up.

Thanks, guys! I understand it's not your intention, but it does cause me to put the site down for awhile when I run across the more intrusive ads. There are message box style ads and others that take over the whole screen.

While we're on this topic, I've had ads that kept telling me to install Java and it directed me to a site that wasn't Oracle. This is one of a few sites where I disable AdBlock Plus so you can get paid. I'd like to keep it that way.

And it would be nice if there was a mobile friendly version of this site, kind of like CoasterBuzz.

I might be one if the few but I actually like this better than coaster buzz from an iPhone. Just turn your phone sideways and double tap, almost perfect.
