Hey Walt,
I know that you actually have a life outside of internet, but could you update some of the pics on the main page? I'm really tired of seeing six topless guys run into the lake. Also the feature photo has been up there a while. This site has an amazing photo gallery why not feature more of the shots in there? The galleries here have enough awesome pics you could almost do a new picture a day.
I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.
I didn't want to sound greedy. I don't know programing, but I'm sure something could be done to have a new picture come up every day or week.

I dont know for the pic of the whatever, Walt is pretty good about changing pics often, however I do agree that the shirtless dudes need to come off, it's slightly nauseating.
Sorry, I don't have to deal with the ads. You wouldn't either, if you bought Pointbuzz Premium. It's cheap enough, so go for it!

Mayor, Lighthouse Point
1. It's the off-season. Not much happens during the winter, so that main update photo doesn't change as often.
2. I have a full-time job (which includes travel), a full-time family, a full-time house - with full-time roof damage from the latest storm. I have e-mail from three days ago that I still haven't answered. It took me two months to get those off-season photos uploaded. Not to mention I'm the commissioner in two fantasy baseball leagues. :)
3. Keeping #2 in mind, I still manage to update the news section of this site faster than lightning. Hopefully, the extensive coverage of Cedar Point news is appreciated. And things are looking up for the summer. We plan on having better coverage (and faster, as warranted) of the park than ever before.
4. We are aware that while it still serves its purpose, this current PointBuzz design is past its prime. Jeff and I have been talking for a few months about where we want to go, but it's not something that will happen overnight. The site you're looking at took a year to build.
5. In the meantime, we have talked about a redesign of just the front page. That's something that I may crank out before the season starts. The goal would be to give me more flexibility in the way we present the information on the front page.
6. The purpose of the Feature Photo is to be a human interest or topical photo: guests caught in the rain, closing day, the air show planes - very similar to those stand alone photos you see in the newspaper. It was never intended to be a Photo of the Week/Month, etc. Again, slow time of the year.
Finally, to answer your question, I'm hoping that we'll have a new update by the weekend that will replace the offending photo. Though, I actually did change the photo last week to something less "naked." :)
If you'd like to pay us both a six-figure salary, we'll be happy to make PointBuzz our full-time job.

I like that idea!

Or just use Firefox extensions like Adblock and the G filter and save your money for the Coasterbuzz membership like I did, so you can go to coastermania.... I do click through some ads on here though to support the site.
I'm just sayin....
If you don't have an extra 12 bucks that you need to "save it" for a CB membership, maybe you shouldn't be spending the money to go to coastermania. Hmmmmm. ;)
Goodbye MrScott

That was figuratively speaking.. I could just sell my Grand National and pay for a months worth of vip service from the park :) *** Edited 3/23/2006 3:29:40 PM UTC by Coastern3rd***
That's why I buy Lotto tickets. ;) Keep hoping to spend a summer as a VIP living out of Lighthouse Point.
Goodbye MrScott
John
It's only 27,000 for an LHP cabin for the season. The VIP (for 2 people) would cost 800 per day for the 122 days. So that is 97,600. So for 124000 you can spend an entire summer at Cedar Point with the VIP treatment. (That's not including food, beverage and household supplies ie soap, shampoo, laundry money)
Goodbye MrScott
John
