New Park Map

I was so glad to see Cedar Point went the same route as Kings Island with an interactive map. Check it out, oh, and Shoot the Rapids is on it.

The best thing about this map is that it shows you specifically where the entrance is located for each ride...not just a "general area" of where the ride is. That will save some people I know some time. :)

Yea, and Demon Drop is still on there as well.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

You obviously did what I did and downloaded the 2009 park map. The interactive map is the only updated map. Demon Drop is not on the interactive map and Shoot the Rapids is not on the downloadable map.

Edit: I see what you mean. The push pin is there, but the image is not there.

If this is true, then it looks like they have FINALLY relocated Power Tower's entrance! There was a lot of talk about it last season about relocating it right across from Dragster's station, but it never happened.

Sweet. They did a good job with the new interactive map, although I can't find a push pin for Red Garter Saloon under the Shows category.

That's because no one cares about the red garter anymore, now that there is no live band. ;)

It's listed under food.

"Tropical Heat, Island Beat", apparently with a live band (or "live music", at any rate) is listed as taking place at RGS on the Shows page.

I like the updated pictures and other minor changes to the website. They just need to add new POV's :)

2010: Magnum XL-200 Ride Host

The beach entrance gate is labeled as "OCEANA GATE" when you select the "Other" tab.

And I've wonder about this for some time...why is there a figure of what appears to be a dancing lady on top of Wave Swinger? It's been there for years on the park map. Is it the spirit of Schwabinchen living on through the park guides?

I like the new park map. Looks weird without demon drop on there, but oh well life goes on. :)

I clicked on the 2009 map and compared it to the 2010 map. The google push pins in the 2010 interactive map are in the same exact spot as the numbers on the 2009 downloadable map.

So according to the new map you enter Dragster at the station, Magnum in its station, Power Tower at the base of the South drop tower etc etc..

Only a handful of rides have their entrance locations marked properly on the map.

Am I going crazy? The Power Tower entrance pushpin is located right where the actual entrance is, on both the 2009 & 2010 maps.

Regarding the other rides' entrances... I suppose that explains why no one has been riding those rides these recent years.

Well, there is no push pin for Bubbles Bar under food. Don't they know beer is food? :)

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I think I was looking at 2009...Demon Drop was still there.

short audio/video clips for each specific Live Show might be a possible option once they debut this Summer.

Power Towers entrance is not to the left of the ride (if you're looking at the tower from the front of the park) You walk under Corkscrew's return run at an entrance much farther to the right, unless it has been changed this year. Look at a google sat view and you can clearly see the entrance and paved walkway that takes you to the right. The pushpin on the map is much closer to the exit than anything else.

^ Psh, yet another poorly placed push pin.

:)

Where does it say on the website that the pins are there to represent the actual ride entrance? I thought they were there to tell you what the ride is on the map. If those pins are suppose to mark entrances as many of you say, then you enter 'Coasters Drive-In' through the old car that sits out front. I really don't think those pins are there for the entrances because if you can get to Millennium Force, you should be able to find the entrance as with any other ride, coaster, show, food, etc.
