New park in West Virginia
It was announced that a new amusement park and water park will be added in the Ohio Valley. This new park is going to be Called Wild Escape and will be on interstate 70 in the Highlands (cabellas) in Wheeling, WV. Phase one of the project will be opened in 2007 with just 40 acres of land. The whole project is set to be larger than Kennywood and around 100 acres.
WE will be indoors/outdoors so it will be set to have some attractions operational year round. With this being in Wheeling it will have a great location between Cedar Point, Geauga Lake and Kennywood. Hopefully it will have good management and will be a huge sucess. I'm not saying it will ever compare to CP. Let's just face it, that wont happen. But hopefully Cedarfair will shape Geauga Lake up a bit with this only being about two hours away from that park.
