I'm one of those (very) newbies too. Yes, thank Project Oh-My-God-What's-It-Going-To-Be for pulling me in as well. Personally I think it's going to be a diving Aquatrax 4-D flume ride using the Antique Cars mounted together as trains. It will put The Italian Job to shame!
Site newbie here too, first year season pass holder... I was actually looking around the internet to try and find out why maXair was down for the first two times I went to the park. Pointbuzz was the top site for whatever I googled on, and I found out about the twenty-minute swing cycle and just never really left. ;)

For the past year and a half, I've been sharing time between this site and a lesser known Point site Online. I'm happy to say I'm fully loyal to PointBuzz these days. I was turned off by the childish moderators at the other site, but I think PointBuzz is, overall, a very friendly, and informative site.

I've been an active member since Millennium Force was announced in 1999. I rarely post, but I visit the boards daily.
I enjoy reading the insight, theories and great trivia provided by the other long time PointBuzz members (and even some of the newbies).
HUGE thanks to Walt and Jeff (and the team) for making all this possible for the rest of us!

^^ That's like me. It's right on my bookmarks toolbar in Firefox, I check back at least 2 or 3 times a day. Sometimes I even type a reply, but then decide it sounds dumb and just don't post.
2008 - Games (Area 3/Scales)
2009 - Games Supervisor
2010 - Season pass holder.
I've been around for a few years. I post sometimes, but mostly just read them through and read the same stuff i wanna say. Absolutely love the site though. I was a HUGE virtual midway fan, and one day at school, i logged to virtual midway and this site came up. Then tried GTTP and this site came up lol. So yeah this is the new site and i love it. Great job Jeff and Walt.

My first visit to Cedar Point was in 1974, and am very proud to say that I've been every year since then. I've been lurking around Jeff's various different Cedar Point sites since almost the day he started putting the pages on the net (which was before the site was known as rollercoaster.nu). I check the site daily, but my posts are rare (only about 60 responses since the migration to Guide To The Point).
I think it's great that there are over 10,000 profiles on this site now, considering that I'm something like profile #146.
Many kudo's to Jeff and Walt for ALL their hard work and efforts over the years. With their efforts, it seems like I'm visiting Cedar Point EVERY day of the year. *** Edited 6/3/2006 7:59:43 AM UTC by BigHkid***

I joined in 2002 and made a few posts here and there. I hated how much negativity came from this site and to me I felt like that ruined the enjoyment in it. So i would just read all the posts and not comment. Now I figured I might as well get back into it and jump on the band wagon.
Ditto! I'm newer too and made a few posts but "quit" when I was turned off by some of the negativity I was seeing. None directed at me, but a turn off either way. But I share the love of CP and can't seem to keep my big mouth shut, so hello again, even you negative ones!
I was a virtual-midwayer for a long time and only joined when the sites merged.

Another newbie here - well, newly registered. I found this site about 4 years ago and just read the posts. I figured I should finally join and get in the fun discussions!!
Been going to CP for about 20 years and it keeps getting better!
Cheers...
I'm new as well on PointBuzz. I use to post at another site about Cedar Point since 2003. I use to like it, but they changed owners and it was starting to go down hill for me. It seemed like the moderators got to much in the way with it. So a few weeks ago, I was checking out other sites and I really liked this one. I can express my opinions a lot more, and I don't get yelled at by the moderators, or get my posts deleted without them telling me. You guys bought me to this site and I really like posting here. The staff here is a lot better and so are the people.

I know what you are saying, and I think I know what site as well Darth Snoopy. On the other site I use to be on when I first started the moderators were great. Then after awhile they got really childish and too much in the way. It's too bad because I been there for so many years. I like this site a whole lot better now then the other one.
