New Mantis Paint Job?

I guess they wouldn't announce that Mantis is getting a new paint job since they didn't do it with Raptor, but as far as everyone knows, is it still planned? I sure hope so - a new paint job would be a great way to help people get over the long lines of this year, nonetheless it's a thing that Mantis (especially the rails) is in desperate need of. If everything goes as planned and Mantis is painted this offseason, it will be Magnum next year, right?

Mean Streak does get retracked. That is not the problem with it.

If there were no trim, it would tear itself apart due to a poorly designed ride. However, with more articulate trains, it would be a much more enjoyable ride. There would be no need for trims with new trains...

Magnum hasn't ever been painted, has it? If not, then why has it lasted for 12 years without painting but Mantis can only last 5?

What about Iron Dragon? If it's never been painted, then that means 15 years without paint, but Raptor lasted 6?

Is it color? If so, then why would Wicked Twister be yellow? Or is it the type of paint that Arrow uses?

So many questions!!.....a little help?

I'm pretty sure that the reason that Raptor and Mantis are the first to be painted is because back when they were built, B&M didn't paint their rails, and in a short time, they have rusted a lot. Raptor was first because when it rained, the rain would mix with the rust and drip down rusty water on the trains and the people riding. Notice that now Raptor's rails are painted (as are all the new B&Ms). Arrow, on the other hand, did paint their rails (Magnum, Iron Dragon, etc.), and that is why they are not as urgent.

Type of paint probably. Even with the "dripping rust" issue.. Notice how bad the paint has faded on Mantis (and did on Raptor) in a short amount of time.

Yeahm B&M's red has faded terribly in just 5 years, but Iron Dragon's has lasted over 14 now. It's got to be the type of paint or the amount of layers...maybe Arrow puts more coats on...

I can't wait for the new paint on Mantis. I did think that the old colors did fade in kind of a cool way though. I've always enjoyed the fact that all trains(2 OR 3, but that's another thread, lol) were the same color as well.
