Today, CP Place looks different. Specifically, all the fonts are different.
I'm wondering if this is something that has changed on PointBuzz, or is it because of some system maintenance I just performed.... (other sites don't look different...)

(It does look good this way...)
I'm not seeing any difference in FireFox or IE.
I've noticed some differences in the fonts as well, but in Safari. Seems to be a system font issue on my end though.

It's probably because of the system maintenance I did today. Went through and "resolved duplicate fonts" in an effort to get Safari to perform a little better. I'm not sure if it is performing better or not, but the fonts look cleaner. Odd.

Everything looks the same to me, but then again, I'm not the most observant person.
Never heard of Safari. How does it compare to I.E. or Fire Fox?

When I came on PointBuzz earlier, I think it was around 6 there were no ads or pop ups at all, it was like I had Premium but now that I'm back it's back to normal. I thought that was strange.

Another update...
Well, two updates.
When I got home, I did the same maintenance on my desktop box. When I did the duplicate font resolution for Arial, all the fonts in my Safari window changed.
Oddly enough, when I restarted Safari, everything changed back. Pity, I rather liked the other version. :)
(OS-X users: In case you haven't noticed, there are some performance issues with Safari. Today those issues were bothering me, and one of the tips I found was to get rid of the duplicate fonts in the system. Why does the system have duplicate fonts? I haven't a clue! Why do duplicate fonts make Safari run slow? Again, I haven't a clue.)

I'm seriously considering picking up a Mac Mini to screw around with. I mean, Stephanie has an iBook, but I don't always have access to it. Seeing as how the Mini takes up almost no room, and it's cheap, I might as well.
I tend to like Firefox better than Safari though on OS X.

Well, there is one thing you can do easily to Safari that makes it a lot nicer right off the bat. You have to have the developer tools installed to do it...but if you change a check-box in the "browser.nib" file in the Safari package you can get rid of that brushed metal crap on the window. It doesn't change the performance, but it makes it a lot easier on the eyes. :)
I haven't used the OS-X version of Firefox since the 1.0 version was released. I played with one of the release candidate versions (0.8) but when I found that it wasn't as fast as Camino and just didn't look right with the rest of the system. Then Safari came out and solved some of the problems I was having with Camino.
Oh, and for anybody who gets a Mac of any kind, the first thing you should do is forget about Internet Explorer. The last version of IE for OS-X is v5.2, and it is garbage. Seriously. It's slow, it's unsupported by anybody, it doesn't render pages right, and because most IE-only web services specify IE-6, it won't help you when sites use browser checking to keep the non-IE users away.
(Which is a stupid thing to do. Usually when I run across such a site, it works fine in Safari if I can get past the "you're not welcome here" page, now that the world has finally turned against ActiveX...)
