New lights on Millennium Force

I ran across this video of the lights being tested
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSlv6iL5RAs&feature=relmfu

Looks the same to me...obviously any brightness associated with it won't be registered properly via a camera phone. Guess we'll have to wait for OD for any real noticeable changes.

I'd say we're spoiling ourselves by seeing these pictures/videos of Millennium and Giant Wheel but I doubt they do either of them justice up close.

Heck, make it a native feature (I think I'm using the word right) on ANY phone. :)

Did anyone get close enough to see if it's new fixtures or LED flood lights shooting up it? Does it still have the strobe on the hill? That was was favorite when it would do that with the old ones.

They are new LED wash fixtures.

They certainly appear brighter than the old ones ever were. If they come without the problems the old ones had, it's definitely a win.

Ok Jeff, we really need to get that +1 feature installed on PointBuzz. ;-)

Amen.

Anyway, those lights look great! They'll definately bring some new life and some attraction to Mille at night.

After seeing what they did to Giant Wheel and listen to Mr. H talk to us at PointBuzz in February about adding LED's, I was expecting it to have the same lighting package that Giant Wheel has. Guess not, but I don't mind. It is great to see Millenium looking brand new again!

I was expecting a simple re-boot of what they had...only functional. I think it was perfect the way it was; so this is very satisfying from my perspective.

Wasn't there a quick strobe effect tossed in there somewhere?
