Rumor has it, that the trains of PortAventura´s 2007 Intamin rocket coaster will have a new design: http://www.themeparkdenmark.dk/TDDiscussion/viewtopic.php?t=281[url][url] Text says, that this is what the trains MIGHT gonna look like. Nothing has been confirmed though. I just thought, do you guys think that TTD would be a cooler ride with these kind of trains? I can´t imagine the trains withstand the force of wind, looking like that. But hey, I´m no Einstein, so I don´t know. Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere on PB.

Those trains look friggin cool! Good find.
Although the ride wouldn't be so fun coming down the spiral drop...
Clearance issues? We don't need no stinkin' clearance issues!

Intamin finally adapts the floorless coaster. Idk if I like it or not. I like the idea, but not on a rocket coaster. I invision a "rocket" type ride as skinny sleek cars, nothing bulky. These are bulky. It would be awesome to see these cars on other types of Intamin rides though!

This is what rcdb has to say about it > http://rcdb.com/id3430.htm
But enough about that, this is a CP forum ;D Just kinda crazy thinking about riding in these kind of florless trains on an Intamin accelerator.
I've always liked the look of TTD's trains even after the themeing was ripped/fell off. The seats and restrants have that simple yet cool looking design.

Wouldn't this new design be a bit much on your feet. People complain about WT going so fast with inverted trains and that goes 0 to 50. Going 80+mph in just a few seconds sounds like it could hurt in the legs.

I agree, leave Dragsters trains alone. Even though they took every bit of themeing off of them, they still look unique and I love their sleek nose design.
Putting a train like that on Dragster defeats the purpose of the whole "Dragster" theme.

Nobody, I was just stating my opinion. The question of this thread is
do you guys think that TTD would be a cooler ride with these kind of trains?
I'm simply saying no.

I agree with you guys, that Dragster´s trains are cool as they are. I remember my first ride and how amazed I was with the comfort of the seats and restraints. And that feeling of sitting so "deep" in the train is great. World Class!! Damn, I can´t wait to go back. Just have to finish my education first. And like pyrocoasterkid said, these new trains look too bulky - I don´t know wether to believe in this design or not, I guess we´ll just have to wait and see.

Stellar design. Could add a lot of interesting new elements to coaster design, due to the difference it provides in terms of forces and what-not.

That would be really cool. I think though it would be a lot more difficult to reach 120mph though. And What's up with the 3 seat design? I don't like that at all. Especially if you are with a group of 4.

I wonder if those trains could traverse an inline-twist without pulling too many G's on the outer seats. I know how intense that element is on a B&M invert, just think if you aren't even remotely close to the center of the rotation.

Hmm....that would be an uncomfortable element to go through in a train like that.
