Just announced, the new height requirement for Steel Vengeance is now 52".
Please plan accordingly for the little ones.
Hmm. Last time this happened was Maverick. And we all know how awesome Maverick is.
RMC streak or bust!
Shorter line 10-15 minutes for sure.
So instead of a 2 hour wait, it will now be 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Seriously? You think that large of a percentage of potential riders were between 48 and 52 inches?

I figure families en masse will stay away from the park this year just because of the height change. Why would anyone want to take their kids to the park if they cannot ride SV?

No I don't think that a large percentage of the riders were between 48 and 52", that is why I said it would reduce the wait time down to 10 and 15 minutes. 10 to 15 minutes from a 2 hour wait is 5%-7.5%, and that is very factual. So out of 100 people in line, now only 95 can get into line due to the new height requirement.
Next time you are in the queue for Millie, count out a 100 people, you will see that on average 5-10 people in the line fall into this category.
Now if I would have said it will take a 2 hour wait down to 1 hour, then you would have a valid point, but in this situation you do not.

The way you said it at first, and at the start of that post, you said it would take the wait down TO 15 minutes, not down BY 15 minutes. The latter could be believable. The former is not, and it sounded like you were saying the former at first.
I always laugh whenever I hear someone predict that a new ride in the park will make the other lines shorter.
Same goes with a change like this. As people file by and see a short line for whatever reason (and I’m not sure how that’s even measurable) they’re going to get in it. And this ride will carry a long line every day no matter what. Maybe certain tweens will be out, but someone in that busy park will be along to take their place. Expect a full house every day.
I expect long lines for this everyday. Season pass holders should take advantage of riding this 1st with the early entry and spend the rest of the day riding the other rides at the park, park it on the beach, hit the shores and return for a night cap with one of the last rides of the day, getting in line a few minutes before 10:00 p.m.

You mean Steel Vengeance isn’t a family ride?

Because there’s lots of other great rides without a 52” height requirement that the kids can ride.
